Arrangement and comprehensive development of almost 200 ha, creation of rest-and-recreation centre, geothermal boreholes, safe swimming facilities for citizens, platforms for fishermen – these are only some of future changes in Przylasek Rusiecki planned for the following  years. Artur Paszko, Chairman of the Board of “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future” Company  presented to councillors of XVIII District not only the concept of development of Przylasek Rusiecki but also objectives of the whole strategic project – “Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future”.

Councillors welcome this presentation with great interest. They were impressed by the scope of planned investments, which are to be “the driving force”not only for the major part of Nowa Huta development (as project area covers more than 586 ha – located in the XVIII District area – extending from Ruszcza, through Branice, finally to Przylasek Rusiecki) but also for whole Kraków.

“We all agree that Przylasek Rusiecki is worth of attention. It is a beautiful area and thanks to the project prepared by “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future” company., will become a real pearl of our Nowa Huta.  Now, it is in disastrous condition, not friendly for citizens” – said Stanisław Moryc, Chairman of the Council and Board of XVIII Nowa Huta District.

And that’s why, keeping in mind our citizens, these lidos known as “Little Masuria” will become attractive area and will be vibrant with life for almost a full year.

“If Municipality of Kraków transfers this area to “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future” Company, firstly, before vacations, we will have to take care of citizens – secure lifeguards, provide development of this area, remove illegal waste dump. We are open to cooperate with everybody who wants to work with us on this unique area”. Chairman Artur Paszko pointed that “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future” Company is ready to initiate talks with persons and entities already operating in Przylasek Rusiecki, for example with The Polish Fishing Association.

In the following years surroundings of reservoir no 1 in Przylasek Rusiecki will gain sandy beach, platforms for fishermen or beach-ball court. Boats, canoes as well as small architecture objects will be also provided. The estimated total value of the project is 7.800.00 PLN and the Company is applying for co-funding from European Funds.

Finally, councillors of joint commissions of Spatial Planning, Environmental Protection and Regional Economic and Municipal Infrastructure Development unanimously passed a resolution giving positive opinion on the Company’s motion on transferring one of the plots to Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future’s exploitation with designation to recreational infrastructure with associated services. This is an important message for the Company. It means acceptation, and according to the councillors, support of “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future” company’s actions, delivered not only in Przylasek Rusiecki, but also on the area of other components of the project.
