Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłość S.A. (Krakow Nowa Huta of the Future SA), headed by Jerzy Muzyk, Deputy Mayor of the City of Kraków for Sustainable Development, took part in the September edition of the Hannover Messe USA 2022 (HM USA) in Chicago.

HM USA is a fair organized under the aegis of the world’s largest industrial technology fair, Hannover Messe, as part of the Hannover Messe Worldwide initiative. Since 2012, they have been associated and held at the same place and time as the IMTS (The International Manufacturing Technology Show), which usually takes place every two years, but this year’s had a special dimension, as it took place after a few years’ break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic . The largest industry trade show in North America this year attracted over 1,800 exhibitors from over 110 countries, and the number of registered visitors to the show is almost 90,000.

By joining the economic promotion of our region, representatives of the Municipalities of Krakow and Krakow Nowa Huta Przyszłość S.A. presented the investment values of Małopolska Region, with particular emphasis on the Krakow Metropolis, as part of the organized exhibition stand of the project “Krakow Metropolitan Area for Business 2”. The stand was very popular among entrepreneurs from the United States, talks were held with business organizations of the American Polonia, companies that had already opened their branches in Poland or considering expansion into eastern markets. There were also companies from Małopolska Region among the visitors.

The fair was focused, among others around the topics of automation, digital manufacturing, intelligent software, electric vehicles and supply chain issues. Among them, the offer of Małopolska Region and native solutions was presented at the Krakow Metropolitan Area for Business stand. Participation in HANNOVER MESSE USA 2022 is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the project “Krakow Metropolitan Area for Business 2” (Regional Operational Program of the Małopolska Region for 2014-2020), implemented by Krakow Nowa Huta Przyszłość S.A. in partnership with the Małopolska Chamber of Local Government Foundation.

At the same time, as part of the project “Krakow Metropolitan Area for Business”, a promotional and networking meeting was organized at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago, during which the Deputy Mayor of the City of Krakow for sustainable development, Jerzy Muzyk, and representatives of Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłość S.A. (Krakow Nowa Huta of the Future SA) presented the investment opportunities of Krakow, municipalities associated in the Association Metropolis of Krakow and Małopolska Region. The meeting was attended by over 60 people, and the participants included, among others, representatives of business, local authorities and Polish institutions.
