During the fair, we had a series of business talks. Foreign and Polish investors are looking for well-prepared areas for offices, services, research and development centers or warehouses, and we can offer such attractive areas in the “Kraków – Nowa Huta Przyszłości” project. We plan to open an Economic Activity Zone in Nowa Huta district in the near future. This place is comprehensively prepared for companies from the SME sector. The zone has full technical equipment, we have built access and internal roads, we also took care of the accompanying greenery and a “rest zone” intended for rest. – reports Jakub Szymański, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Board of Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłości S.A..
In face-to-face talks, the areas designated for municipal logistics and specialized industrial production enjoyed unflagging interest. Guests visiting the stand “Kraków Metropolitan Area for Business” could learn about the investment offer not only of Kraków, but also of neighboring communes.
The real estate industry is at a turning point? What is the future of construction investments?
As every year, Expo Real has gathered many specialists and experienced representatives of the real estate, investment and construction industries, which in the current economic and international situation allowed for the much-needed exchange of ideas, concepts and creating a network of contacts during meetings and talks.
The EXPO REAL fair was accompanied by numerous discussion panels, during which attempts were made to answer, inter alia, when asked what general conditions the real estate industry will have to face. Rising inflation, rising interest rates, and the energy crisis are topics that directly concern real estate and require new solutions in the investment sector. Experts predict that the labor market will not collapse – there is still a shortage of labor, and demographic and migration changes generate demand for residential real estate. The future of investments in Europe should be based on smart city solutions, and modern energy self-sufficient construction.
The German Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, Klara Geywitz, who was present at the fair, set out the directions and goals she was setting for the coming months and years. In her statements, she emphasized the importance of creating conditions for profitable construction, which would be achieved by increasing productivity, switching to a greater extent to prefabrication, digitizing the entire planning and implementation chain, and by promoting subsidized housing. These concepts were widely discussed during a panel discussion with the participation of the Minister.
