28th edition of MIPIM Fairs in Cannes has come to an end. For the first time “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future” Company was the organiser of the stand, promoting economic potential of Małopolska Voivodeship. Several business meetings and a large group of investors, representatives from financial institutions and representatives of authorities made that debut successful.
“Business in Małopolska” is a joint initiative of Małopolska Voivodeship, The Małopolska Regional Development Agency and Kraków Technology Park. “Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłości” prepared the stand for this year’s MIPIM under this brand. The offers, both – economic and touristic – were very popular among visitors. Special attention of investors, interested in logistic investments, drew the project Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future.
Apart from numerous visits of investors from Poland, the stand was visiting by representatives from Europe and from other countries outside our continent – which made that stand a place of international meetings. During four-day fair stand was hosting several dozen of entrepreneurs.
Numerous B2B talks were held, i.a. with representatives from GD&K roup, ABB, Leroy Merlin Investments Ltd. and with many others who have expressed their interest in Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future project. Thanks to these talks, significant business contacts have been established. Some of them will result in further investors involvement in projects ,not only in Nowa Huta but also on the whole Małopolska region.
Katarzyna Kuza from the Polish Embassy in Paris, Joanna Kozińska – Frybes, Consul General of Poland in Lyon and Michel Forkasiewicz – Honorary Consul of Poland in Nice were also our guests. They learnt about the Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future project objectives. The stand was also visited by Elżbieta Koterba – Deputy Mayor of Kraków.
One of the stand attraction was film presenting investment potential of the region and the Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future project, which attracted great attention. Specially prepared promotional materials allowed to create the image of Małopolska not only as a place with huge potential for new investments, but also as a place with tradition and heritage.
The fairs formula concentrates on creating direct business relations and on exchanging experiences between professionals from different sectors. It perfectly matched to promotion of Małopolska’s offer and allowed to know the specificity of our region.
