Krakow Metropolitan Area at the Economic World Championship – Expo 2020 in Dubai

Promotion of the economic potential of Małopolska Region and presentation of the investment values of the Krakow Metropolitan Area – these are the topics that representatives of Krakow Nowa Huta Przyszłości S.A. were discussing during the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Postponed by a year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, World Expo 2020 is the largest and most prestigious six-month global promotional event, during which individual countries, including Poland, present their offer. The main theme of the exhibition is “Connecting minds, Creating the future”. The Expo is open until the March 31st, 2022.

The arena of the Polish presentation is the Polish Pavilion with an area of over 2000 sqm, with a wooden facade and a kinetic sculpture symbolizing a flock of birds. Only for the first 7 weeks, it was visited by over 250,000 people and it is undoubtedly the centre of artistic events and business meetings.

On December 6th, 2021, representatives of Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłości S.A., took part in the Polish-Arab Economic Forum the culmination of the economic program for entrepreneurs. Meetings with potential business partners and investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries from the Middle East region, showed the openness of local companies to investments in Małopolska. The company’s representatives took part in the export session and the session devoted to investments in our country.

The next day the National Day of Poland was held as part of EXPO Dubai 2020. In the official celebrations participated the highest state authorities. The day was inaugurated by the Country Business Briefing: Poland – a session organized in the centre of the World Exhibition, enabling business representatives to present their products, services and investment offer. We were also present at the event and had the opportunity to introduce to an international audience the potential of Małopolska and the Krakow Metropolitan Area.

Presence of Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłości S.A. as a promoter of Małopolska’s economic potential was very much needed. – We were where we should have been at this time. At the EXPO, at the beginning of December where representatives of global business met at the invitation of the Polish representative office. This is a unique opportunity to meet and establish contacts – sums up Artur Paszko Ph.D., President of the Management Board of Kraków Nowa Huta Przyszłości S.A.

The Company representation took part in the event within the project co-financed by Małopolska Regional Operational Programme entitled “Krakow Metropolitan Area for Business” of which Krakow Nowa Huta Przyszłości S.A. is the leader. The partners in this undertaking are the Municipality of Krakow, the Krakow Metropolis Association and the Krakow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
