The residential development area, ultimately covering an area of 39 hectares, complements the functions of the entire “Kraków – Nowa Huta Przyszłości” project, which focuses on recreation, services, industry and broadly understood recreation. By the end of 2023, thanks to the consolidation of real estate, 13 hectares were made available for development activities. land and three valid building permits have been issued. In 2024, KNHP S.A. plans to commercialize another 5 hectares for residential development. The currently activated area is intended for low-intensity multi-family construction to be introduced in the second quarter of 2025. The building is located 350 m from Igołomska Street and offers proximity to recreational areas with the completed Recreation and Recreation Center “Przylasek Rusiecki” and the planned Center for Large-Scale Outdoor Cultural Events “Nie bez”. The proximity of the Branice Science and Technology Park, where an Economic Activity Zone has already been established, remains important. The activation of trenches for residential development means that the “Kraków – Nowa Huta Przyszłości” project is beginning to take its final shape.

The “Kraków – Nowa Huta Przyszłości” project includes the implementation of 5 components:

– Recreation and Rest Center “Przylasek Rusiecki”,
– Science and Technology Park “Branice”,
– Logistics and Industrial Center “Ruszcza”,
– Center for Large-Scale Outdoor Cultural Events “Błonia 2.0”,
– Area of multi-family residential development.

In 2021, the “Przylasek Rusiecki” Recreation and Rest Center with a beach and full infrastructure was put into operation, and currently, as part of this component, the “Branice” Educational Park with an open-air museum commemorating the material tradition of the Western Krakow people is being built. In 2024, the first cottage will be relocated to the park.
KNHP S.A. it also led to the consolidation of plots with an area of approximately 7 ha for the construction of the Geothermal Center in Przylasek Rusiecki, and at the end of 2023, the Municipality of Kraków received an assurance from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management that it would co-finance a research well in the amount of PLN 12 million. Thanks to it, it will be possible to determine the physicochemical parameters of water, which will allow to assess the economic effectiveness of using this source of green energy for heating and recreational purposes. The research results will allow you to precisely design the Geothermal Center and start its implementation.

In the years 2015-2023, over 20 hectares were developed for the “Branice” Science and Technology Park, which offers areas for entrepreneurs. The “Nowa Huta Przyszłości” Economic Activity Zone was created, which covers two sub-areas and is so popular among investors that currently the last available plots are on offer.

Due to the very high fragmentation of plot ownership, the last component of the project is the Center for Large-Scale Outdoor Cultural Events “Błonia 2.0”. In the years 2015-2023, the rights to 60% of the planned area were obtained. The acquisition of real estate and design work on target communication solutions are continued.
Even though the strategic project “Kraków – Nowa Huta Przyszłości” is taking its final shape, this does not mean a decline in the dynamics of activities. This is a development project which, after achieving the set goals, assumes expanding the revitalization process of the eastern part of Krakow to include new areas and tasks.
