On 7 July 2017 “Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future S.A” and Małopolska Merchants and Entrepreneurs Association signed an agreement of cooperation in joint action activities in favour of economic and social development of eastern part of Kraków – Nowa Huta.

During the meeting, PhD Artur Paszko, Chairman of the Board of Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future S.A. presented main objectives of “Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future” project and – integrated in – project known as “Economic Activity Zone – Nowa Huta of the Future” (EAZ), in the defined area, where Parties intend to work together.

Chairman Paszko pointed that Economic Activity Zone in Nowa Huta will involve almost 40 ha of brownfield areas which in comprehensive manner will be prepared for industrial investments and related services. But he also added,  that the target of “Nowa Huta of the Future S.A” is not only creation of friendly conditions for external investments (including foreign ones) but also for local, small and medium-sized entrepreneurships.

Kraków Nowa Huta of the Future S.A. and Małopolska Merchants and Entrepreneurs Association will, in particular, endeavour to create an entrepreneurship incubator in Science and Technology Park “Branice” area, but also cooperate in other components of “Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future” project.

The agreement presumes also attracting of young entrepreneurs. Zdzisław Kwieciński, Chairman of Małopolska Merchants and Entrepreneurs Association pointed out that activities undertaken by Association are perfectly compliant with  innovation aspects, promoted in “Kraków – Nowa Huta of the Future” project.

–For people who are making first steps in business, we are looking for a place, being the base for the main objectives of “Kraków- Nowa Huta of the Future”, a place of synergy of combined functions: business, science, culture and recreation. A place, where young entrepreneurs will manage to  renovate the handcraft tradition. Young people who have been brought up in times of innovations, can perfectly use them. We, experinced entrepreneurs can share our knowledge and they can add an innovative approach, tools or distribution channels. Knowledge of masters plus innovations plus Nowa Huta – it will give phenomenon that is unique not only across Kraków – said Zdzisław Kwieciński, Chairman of Małopolska Merchants and Entrepreneurs Association said.
